Nobody ever made good BBQ in a hurry.
The best brisket takes 12-16 hours. Ribs need 6. Even a simple pork butt asks for 8 hours of patience. You can't crank the heat to 500 and expect the same result. You'll get charcoal on the outside and raw in the middle.
James 1:4 is the pitmaster's verse. Let perseverance finish its work. Don't rush the process. Don't crank the heat because you're impatient.
That marriage you're building? Low and slow. Those kids you're raising? Low and slow. That business, that ministry, that dream you're chasing? You guessed it.
God is not in a hurry. He's not checking His watch. He's tending the fire and watching the smoke, and He knows exactly when you'll be ready.
Today's Challenge: Identify one area where you've been trying to rush the process. Commit it to prayer and ask God for patience to let it cook.
